Board Member
Born in Birmingham, Alabama where his people taught him to be a gentleman, kind and how to a tell a story, Cedric considers himself a Southerner. Every summer from age 6 through college at least a month was spent with family and friends, down home, in Birmingham and Selma.
Birmingham is down home, but Los Angeles, California and Southern California was where Cedric grew up from age three. Cedric was educated at George Washington High School, Occidental College where he studied Mathematics and Physics, and the University of California, Irvine where he studied Electrical Engineering.
In his 35+ year career he has been an Engineer, a System Designer, Integrator, Project Manager, Chief Engineer, Software Architect, Mentor, responsible for multimillion dollar projects and bringing wild ideas to proof of concept.
As a citizen, Cedric was taught by his father, Isaac, to care about his fellow citizens and to do his part to make home, neighborhood, town/city a better place. As a 20+ year citizen of Castro Valley you may have seen him leading Jenson Ranch Science Fair, Coaching Odyssey of Mind team, a science and mathematics tutor, SAT and Achievement Test tutor, a softball coach and Board Member, a soccer coach and Board Member.
